Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. UGA...

For @Visiting Dawg and @DawgAlum2054, just wanted to say, great and clean game by your guys tonight. Regardless of the outcome y’all have a great team.
I don’t trust Georgia fans, I know Dawgalum has been here awhile, still don’t completely trust. Not after the ones we invited into our home and they posted here , then ran back to Dawgnation and posted a link with clown comments over there. Grandma Pyle always said fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice…

listened to 680 the fan post game show and they blamed the refs and Kirby’s conservative play calling 🤣. Truth is they lost it in the trenches. Milroe had all day back there. Even on the sacs it felt like he held the ball for 7-8 seconds. which is frustrating dude needs to learn to throw it away. He’s got no internal clock.

This is probably why more teams don't rush three and spy two. Its like you are letting the QB have all day to eat lunch before he decides its nap time!!!

Awesome win! Snapping that 29 win streak was satisfying. Georgia definitely one of the top teams in the country, so we deserve to be in.

if you were to ask me based on the games that I watched this year the four best teams are, this would be my list in no particular order:
Alabama
Michigan
Georgia
Texas

no team has been so dominant that you could say they look like the best team in the country, and all four have had flashes of brilliance combined with incompetence.

but that's not going to be who winds up in this particular playoff, and it's going to be an interesting balancing act to say the least.

I would agree with this, as much as I'd hate having to beat Georgia again to get an NC.

Washington wouldn't beat any of these teams except maybe Michigan, and FSU gets destroyed by all of them.

or we could apply the Scott Frost test.

When he wanted to go cry and get Nebraska a third national championship in four years in 1997, he addressed the post bowl game press conference by basically asking the question: "If you were coaching the opposition and got to pick the opponent you faced in an absolute must win game, would you think you had a better chance of beating Nebraska or beating Michigan?" his point being that back then nobody wanted to face in Nebraska with the whole world on the line.

I cannot say that Alabama would necessarily rank ahead of Michigan or Georgia this year applying that particular test; however, they would be one of the four teams to which you could apply that test.

in all honesty, Washington and Florida State would not make that list but we would probably wind up playing Georgia again.

That being said, we also have to respect the results of what happened on the field and that's going to be a huge problem for us given the large number of undefeated teams and the fact we lost a Texas who happens to be in the running.

however, it's a disgrace that it would've been better for us to have lost to Mississippi State because they're not in the running than to Texas who is.
