Anyone that lived through the Shula years at Alabama are considered thought leaders on subject.

I think I’m one of the younger members on this board. I remember the Shula years in middle school and high school. I lived in SC and had a hard time even watching the games. In 2005 I thought we were getting robbed of respect all year until the LSU and AU games. I remember watching the LSU game in our room above the garage on a rabbit ear TV and having to stand in awkward positions to get the broadcast signal. In overtime against LSU, I couldn’t keep my balance and lost signal at the snap. When I got it back LSU had scored. I blamed myself for the loss, lol. I also vaguely remember the Franchonie years. Bama vs SC at SC was the first game I ever got to go to in person. I was 11 and cried walking out of the stadium cursing the team and the stupid 2pt attempt, lol. Ah, memories.

it was a good season for bama; sometimes things just break certain ways and you don't get the help you need after an early season loss(and in this case to the wrong team). Congrats to FSU and Texas they do deserve it.
