Some of these players can make more money by transfering to another school than by entering the draft. That's exactly what some of them are doing, and they know it with these NIL deals.

No way, other than MLB (?) can 17-18 year olds make this kind of money. In three years, they can make three million - or more. Calling it insanity is denigrating insanity.
Its all about the benjamins- sure most still want to win but they got an expensive car, nice house and a couple of smart investments and they’re set for life, if they never play a single down professionally.
Only people who can stop it are the fans, and that will never happen. But it’s not a “sport” anymore, and the only “winning” involved is quantified by how much money you have when you finish/leave college.
Mediocre talent, no NIL freshman year but starts and does well, second year better and then spins the wheel of fortune. Someone in dire need of any experience at his position throws money at him, and we’re off…

Yes, and JoJo Earle did OK at TCU, the ongoing narrative we had very little talent at receiver is crazy. I would say it may be our best and deepest unit right now. I’ve preached this until blue in the face, these receivers were not misses, just needed confidence and playing time.
