JMO of course but I don't think he will have too hard of a time recruiting down south. He seemed to have some pretty good players at UW and if he can recruit there then he will have a field day down here -deleted. :giggle:

If he can keep most of the current roster it'll say a lot about his recruiting acumen. It takes colossal onions to succeed the GOAT right before one of the toughest schedules in Bama history. We as the Bama fan base MUST give him time to establish himself and not scream for his head the first time something goes wrong this coming season.

FWIW, my best friend is a high level D1 referee for many years. Knows many college coaches and assistants pretty well after all these years. He says that virtually everyone he has spoken with thinks that Debeor and Grubb are "X and O geniuses. Literally see things most other coaches do not"
Obviously, I wouldn't know great Xs and Os if they ran over me. But he says the admiration he has heard form several different folks was shocking to him.

So...that doesn't mean he can recruit, but good coaching and player development goes a long way.

DeBoer has faced Alabama and Saban before. It was in 2017 when Fresno State traveled to Tuscaloosa. DeBoer was their OC. The result was an Alabama win, 41-10, as Jalen Hurts ran for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns and passed for a 3rd score as the #1 Crimson Tide jumped to an early lead by Hurts' 55 yard touchdown run 2 plays into the game.

Agreed, but a lot of that was the competition and the incredible release speed of their QB.
Agreed - He got the ball out FAST. Knew where/when pressure was happening, knew exactly where the outlet was and got the ball out. Watching him against UM and I was greatly impressed with that - he wasn't always accurate on some of them, but at least he didn't take sacks...
