How many Auburn players would start on the all-time Bama team?

Newton wouldn't even start on a Bama team of the last 15 years. Tua/Bryce/Mac were all better Newton was a system QB. He would not have had the same level of success at Bama unless we ran an offense like that

Bo Jackson is the only one you could make an argument for, but even then, I wouldn't put him above Derrick Henry.

Auburn has had some great players over the years, including some Pro Football Hall of Famers. But, yeah, Bo Jackson is the only one I can think of, even aided with some quick Googling to refresh my memory, who would be first team at any position. I'd likely have had an Auburn kicker there before Will Reichard's tenure.
Anyone that doesn’t have Bo Jackson on this list has let their bias cloud their brain. He’s one of the greatest athletes ever, he just limited himself to baseball and football.

Agreed - aside from possibly Hershel Walker, he is the best RB in SEC history.
Hershel and Bo were a lot of fun to watch when I was younger. Even though they played for other teams.

What Auburn kicker? Sure they had good ones, but better than Leigh Tiffin? He was clutch. Proctor, Tiffin again, Peter Kim, Jamie Christensen, Philip Doyle. Just because Nick had trouble with kickers doesn’t mean Bama didn’t have good ones through the years.
My favorite awbern kicker was Robert McGinty... ;)

Bo wouldn't start over Henry. Not in college or at any level they've ever played at.

Cam Newton would start.

Fwiw uzomah would start over every bama tight end not named Ozzie.
Assuming the the All-Time team would have an All-Time coach - Neither Bryant nor Saban would even have had a non-team player like $cam on his sideline, much less starting over ALL of our All-Time QBs...

I disagree. Not saying he wasn't good, but I don't agree 2nd best in history. In fact, if Kerry Goode doesn't get hurt, I believe there was an argument to make that he wouldn't have been the best back from the state at the time.

Just in the past 25 years we've had Alexander, Ingram, and Henry. Jackson was great, but I'm not ready to promote him over any of those, and that doesn't even consider Musso, Humphry, and other era greats.

Daniel Carlson was a better kicker than any of those guys. He was consistent and had more leg. His NFL career hasn't been stellar but he's the only one of them that had an NFL career to speak of.

About 6 years ago there was this same kind of thought but it was an all SEC team and it was very Crimson colored with the players. Some I agree with while others I don’t. Just thought it was interesting back then and we have had even more greatness here lately.

I understand the hatred for our rival, but Bo was the most gifted athlete I ever got to see personally play. He was a freak of an athlete. I’m not saying Henry wouldn’t be my starter at rb, just saying I’d have to think about Bo quite hard.

The funny part is there is no question at Auburn who is their best player in history, but at Alabama there is a much bigger debate on who the best all time alabama player ever. We have had it good boys and the talent we have had over the years and coaching we have had over the years is second to none.

OLine U.

Should be Kelly over Pouncey. Then we'd have the entire OLine

He was almost as good as Reichard!😉
Carlson was good, but besides Will missing 2 extra points (he did kick almost 50% more than Carlson though) Will had better stats. Had he kept up the pace of his SO and JR year, he would probably be untouchable, but he fell off in his SR year and went 23/31 74.2%
Will’s percentage on 50+ yard kicks is way better also.

Carlson:
198/198 XP, 92/114 FG 80.4% 13/21 50+yd 61.9%

Reichard:
295/297 XP, 84/100 FG 84% 10/13 50+ yd 83.3%
Reichard is only the all time leading scorer in NCAA history you sure he deserves the nod 😂

In all seriousness, before Reichard as bad as I hate to say it, I would have said Carlson as well. That’s not to take away from any of our other kickers but Carlson was that good in college. Some of our kickers have been mental cases and maybe had more talent but couldn’t handle the pressure of a missed kick and then get into their own heads. Kickers are strange creatures 😂
