Yea definitely not ideal. Good thing we're a basketball school nowEither way, Alabama now has zero depth at center. That is a disaster. Need to find someone in the portal.
I was about to say that. For an early enrollee freshman I thought he preformed well in the spring game as the back-up but like Big10 said we need to be looking for a center in the portal for depth. It does help that ionata is further along than wed hoped too. I hate to lose brockermeyer after how much he improved. But I get get it
It is not easy to find depth in the portal, because decent players in the portal are there to find a starting job at a school with a need.I was about to say that. Surely there's a guard with experience at center. Baker Hickman? Someone.Either way, Alabama now has zero depth at center. That is a disaster. Need to find someone in the portal.
Roq Montgomery lined up at center last year so he's likely number 3 and they have all summer to get someone ready as a backup.Surely there's a guard with experience at center. Baker Hickman? Someone.
I understand the reaction to the bad snaps, but aside from that you had a dominant center last year.A raw center canāt be any worse than last seasonās debacle at that position. At least they wonāt have bad habits.
You can put all the blame on the center from last year if you want, but he wasn't the only issue. Jalen had his issues as well.A raw center canāt be any worse than last seasonās debacle at that position. At least they wonāt have bad habits.
This is about centers, not Jalen. You can put all the blame on the center from last year if you want, but he wasn't the only issue. Jalen had his issues as well.
Iāll always pull for the guy who paid his dues over someone who thinks heāll just walk right in. If Brailfordās personal reasons have anything to do with assurances of being the starter regardless, thatās a really bad look for him and any coaches involved in that decision.Brockermeyer wants to play. I recently watched a video where it looked like coach Kap was working with Brockermeyer one on one after practice. I think he knew he wasn't going to beat out Brailsford. Coming from Washington and knowing DeBoer's offense has to be a huge advantage.
That looks like a design play to score a TD to me. Well done by Seth. He has completely fooled and confused Defense with that snapThis is about centers, not Jalen.
Like this play.
I thought 3 stars is what DeBoer prefersā¦Very poor selection for IOL in the portal right now: https://247sports.com/season/2024-football/transferportaltop/?positionkey=58&status=uncommitted
Except the guy from USC, all others are low 3*
I've worked at it for 2 years and now I'm down to TWEENER SIZE.I think it was one of our posters and he is correct. He is listed at 6' 2" and 265 lbs and that is tweener size.
