I heard Josh Snead on WJOX last week promoting the live show. He was saying they are only doing these shows once a year because they are so time consuming to write, produce and rehearse. They do some shorter live stuff for corporate events but nothing to the extent of the live show they did Friday night.
Funny, Snead said they got their start on Finebaum when he started on the SEC Network ten years ago. He said the producers were looking for “stuff” to fill time on the show and started showing random fan videos. So they started submitting stuff. And it took off from there.
After the games on Saturday, they meet on Sunday and spend about 15 hours putting together the video for release on Monday. When asked about “pre production” ideas on the direction they will go, Snead said “not really”. Yes there are some recurring themes but mostly they wait to see what happens and then roll with it.
