Eh, not necessarily. The gameplan would change but I’m pretty confident Ty and our backs could play pretty well.

Defense is totally the problem though, not Milroe.

We would be more than fine with Ty. As you say though, Milroe isn’t the problem. He made some bad decisions today, but our defense is the root cause of all of our issues.

I can’t fathom how/why our defense can’t seem to generate negative, or even zero-gain, plays. Multiple times today, our guys tackled the guy FORWARDS. One of them was a TD that was stopped, and then we tackled them forward into the endzone. I can’t remember seeing a Bama defense do that so many times as this year’s version.

We are not routinely putting pressure on the QB…we are laying back most of the time with a few exceptions here and there. That’s what I’m talking about!

No. I literally picked the last drives where we either GET A STOP and WIN, or FAIL to get a stop and LOSE.

It's a predicable scheme and Wommack isn't adjusting when he should. We aren't generating pressure without a blitz....but we blitz less than any other team. No pressure leads to huge chunks of yards.

The run D isn't good at all, we give up huge chunks.

If Wommacks D is dependent on turnovers and the other team doesn't turn it over, what then.

Undoubtedly, yes. If the answer is anything but “yes”, then you’re lying to yourself. The only reason he’s not been fired yet is because you generally don’t do that type of thing during the season.

Even Gol*ing knew what he was doing schematically, he just didn’t know how to communicate it to the players because his scheme was more complicated than any defense has any right to be in college. Wommack has absolutely no idea what he’s doing, and simply refuses to adjust.

Both things can be true in that the defense isn’t very good at the moment and Milroe is still the leader of a very boom/bust/inconsistent offense.

Some of these guys act like this is the 2nd coming of the 2020 offense.
