That said, this season wasn’t anything like I expected. We beat a couple of teams we should not have; and lost to a couple we should’ve beaten.

You and me both! Getting old, while better than the alternative, has its drawbacks.
Too much good basketball to look forward to...
I wish I could make myself interested in basketball..............never really got into it, but it was my father's first love.......in fact, the guy who got Auburn put on probation for football back in the day played against my father in Bama when he grew up over there
I played weekly till I was 62, against guys 30+ years younger, ruining my joints and spine in the process. I love it!
I thought we would be sitting at 9-3 with losses to UGA, Texas, and one other close one to LSU or UTK. I thought we would be competitive and hope to clean up the penalty pressure of the let two years. I did not expect to look clueless on offense or hear rumors of a LANK cabal or have the AD call the fans out for more NIL money I hope for a reset for next year.

I played almost everyday into my 20's and no less than weekly into my 30s.
I had to stop because of my knees. Had surgery on both and just can't do it anymore in competitive court games.
I still mess around every now then just shooting but I can't guard/defend anymore like I use to.
But yeah that was my sport too. Miss it.
All in all, just for me, the term “ forgettable “ sort of sums it up, compounded by a feeling of disappointment and disgust as to where the game has gone.
I get it. The fall from being the premier football team in all of CFB to a mid-level SEC program has been hard to swallow. The decline started before this year, and hopefully this is the bottom. I don‘t see us being perineal contenders going forward but maybe a team that can maybe make a run every 3-4 years. It is also harder to care given the direction of the game.
Overall, disappointing season.. but thankful we did beat UGA, Auburn, LSU.
Just a frustrating season... mainly because of QB play.
Wish I knew the entire true story of what went on in the locker room and behind the scenes... hoping next season, starting today, that whatever it was in gone... dead buried and gone. lol.
Not sure who I want to win the National Championship but I know I don't want UGA to. Nor Texas.
Looking forward to basketball and softball seasons for UA.
Can't wait until spring practice starts.
I'm going to try not to be as emotionally involved in football... it shouldn't bother me as much as it does. There are so many more important things in life. I will definitely still keep track of everything and watch, just not get so upset when Bama loses and what social media and friends say.

Never thought I would say I was happy to see a season end. I’m happy to see this season end .I say Debore has another year to prove he can do what needs to be done and if things don’t get better quick, he’s out the door. I hate it, but I don’t have a lot of faith in the man.
You are so right . Sometimes I find it hard to even enjoy a game. That’s a problem. So I need to do the same thing you need to do ……stop taking things so seriously and focus on the important things in life. Have a happy new year.
I knew this year would be a transition year (I did not expect the awful losses we got). I have been looking forward to basketball since the season ended last year.
Disappointing end to the season, for sure, but overall I am ok with what I saw from Kalen. I do believe, next year will be better especially if Bama has a legit QB and not an athlete masquerading as one.
After this season I’ve lost my desire for the game. Not necessarily in this order but between NIL, MEroe and the coach at my HS running the program into the ground where we are everyone’s Homecoming opponent, I just don’t find a lot of joy in the game any longer. I’m still passionate about the schools I follow but no longer do I find myself watching a game just because one is on. If certain things happen, I’ll walk away from helping my HS program and will find other things to do when Bama is playing.
I think most of us expected some transition issues and knew Deboer isn't Saban, but I expected coaching competence and for the team to improve as the year went on. We got neither and to say I am disgusted with the 2024 season would be an understatement. It's been a long time since I looked forward to the next season without a sense of optimism, but that's where I am. Maybe when the bad taste of this season wears off, I'll feel better about next year.
