Yea it is and he is listed at both on multiple sources....we'll know when he's added to the official roster

240 is the Weight he was listed at out of high school. I assume he's closer to 260 now.

Updated: he's closer to 260. Played at 250 in his freshman season. Per his tight end coach

They just showed list of people who transferred from Alabama and half of them are in portal.. spring transfer isn't ideal. You're behind the moment you step on campus.

for sure some were stuck on the depth chart, but many we really would have liked to have kept. Some spots we maybe upgraded with a T-in (i.e. Horton from Miami), others not so much (losing Haynes and getting Washington)

Yeah at one point we had so many receivers leaving, we had people wondering if there would be any receivers for the new QB to throw the ball to

Yeah, I know that. I'm just saying that we're not seeing a revolving door at each portal window which is a good thing. If we were, I would start wondering about the staff and their quality.

I dig Buzzard. There will be a portal purge for every head coaching change, especially one of this magnitude. But after a couple of portal events seems this Coach has his group to where he wants it and they seem to all be on board with his vision. Big philosophy change with this new staff and it is not like they don't know how to win. Impressed with the portal silence myself.

And we had the #2 recruiting class replace those guys, many of which will contribute this year. Most were WR and I think we have upgraded that room.

Almost all of that list was more of a mass "please leave us" than a massive exodus

that's not at all what I've heard. Many left due to the way the 2024 season was handled by the staff. There was a massive amount of discontent on the team. I guess maybe that presents as 'bad attitude guys' if you're wearing crimson glasses, but when that many players feel the same way, there was something creating all that smoke.

Let me clarify on this...

1. That wasn't massive exodus. The football team was over scholarship limits.

2. Out of all players we lost .. Lockwood hurts the team slightly.

3. We did upgrade with ALL transfers that came to Alabama in off-season. Washington is a significant upgrade over Haynes. You gave him little credit.

Dre, I think he’s a combination of all the guys,” DeBoer said. “Kevin’s probably our shiftiest, the explosive kind of guy on the roster. Dre’s compact, much like you’d see with Daniel and Rich, but he’s got some shiftiness to him. I like his mindset, he comes here ready to work, knows he’s got a lot to learn, and focused on what he can control.”
