Hurts was always a good passer. But it seemed he was told to run. Seemed that way. I think the improvements were in decision making.

Early on he just had not had time to learn the details of a college level passing game and all the reads required so he had to be given a very simplified scheme. He was successful with it and it built some bad habits he had a tough time kicking through year 2. Enos also took him from having decent mechanics to very, very good fundamentals.

The draft unfortunately is apparently only going to have two Tide players taken in the first three rds. Several teams have had five or more. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen this happen. Perhaps we weren’t as talented as we thought.
