Tickets selling for what they have on the secondary market is what has got us here. It didnt take long for them to realize that they could keep some of that money instead of letting scalpers get it.

The problem is not all tickets sell well on the secondary market. Many times you can get tickets for cheaper than they sell for. When you build in the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow" price into every ticket it overinflates the price. You want to go watch Western Kentucky, pull you out a 20 and drive over to the stadium before kickoff. It would make more sense to tier the tickets into different levels. I think people would complain less and be more understanding if the sticker price on the Alabama/Georgia game was $200 a ticket and the FCS non-conference game was $50.

Fun story. Several years ago, me and a buddy were trying to buy tickets and we waited until 30 minutes before kickoff in order to get the best deal. We were on the west side and I was holding up 2 fingers and a guy walked up to me and said, "Here are two tickets. You can have them." We walked in and sat on the 50 yard line for free!

NOTE: This was obviously several years ago when paper tickets were still in use. FWIW, I hate the new digital format. I know the reasons they do it, but I'm just old-fashioned enough to like having a ticket in my hand!

2) Connect bank account, social security, and dna of a close relative
3) Purchase enough Bitcoin or other reputable crypto to cover purchase
4) Send crypto to persons wallet
5) Have person with ticket email you the QR code of the purchased tickets
6) Download a QR code reader


Once you have done the following just walk up to the entrance of the stadium and show the worker your phone and they will let you know you have been scammed by a Nigerian King who happens to know your Uncle that is trying to send you money.

I am friends with someone who was high up in the concessions business at Alabama. I would tailgate and text him right before the game to let me in. He would have me come through as a worker. I watched the Julio game against LSU, JoPa in Bryant-Denny, and a few other epic games during that time period for free. Who knew they let excessively inebriated folks sell nachos?

I’ve saved my tickets from every music or sporting event I’ve been to.

I honestly had no idea everything went digital.

Once went to a Braves game and there was a couple in 2 seats the company had bought. Funny their tickets were legit. Apparently these particular seats were sold twice.

As much as I love attending the games in person, the constant year over year increase is getting old. I purposefully didn't order some away game tickets this season just because of the cost. I have been in TP since I graduated in 2004, but I get a bit more disgruntled and disinterested each year...

The plain and simple truth for me (I’m in my mid60s) is I can’t handle the drive there and back plus the game day experience physically. Been going since the Coach Bryant days. It’s a lot easier now to participate from the recliner. Plus, we can sync up Chris Stewart with the picture and enjoy it that way.
