Mike, Mike, Mike, & Kalen?

Dude is not a bad coach. He just followed a legend. We are everyone's biggest game of the year. Kalen just has never dealt with anything like that. Gonna be a long season of more ups and downs. I think it is us just now realizing what we had which is now gone.

He appears to me to be a mix of both. His demeanor is almost a carbon copy of Shula. Very little emotion. His game plans look a lot like those of the DuBose era. Organization is lacking. Effort looks a lot like the DuBose era too - mixed at best. (Those Shula teams almost always exhibited effort; they were just outmanned).

The 2005 team is one of my favorite non-title teams but injuries caught up in the end

The defenses played with more effort in the Shula era for sure

Too early to tell. But the ultimate questions are 1) who could we realistically replace him with that is better and 2) who is going to change the situations off the field that affect Alabama
I can’t answer either question except to say that someone out there is an answer to #1. Not sure who. But still, someone out there can build a program and rally a team to believe in and execute a plan on a week to week consistent basis.

The answer to #2 is probably no one. That “genie” is never going back into the bottle.

All that crap about the team being fully bought in and being hungry, and “the disrespect will be dealt with accordingly” and how we had the best OL in the country…a bunch of hot air. I’m so done.
We hear this every year for the past 3 years at least. I’m wondering when they gonna show up
