it is too bad he doesn't have a relative he could ask for guidanceIf only there as a place he could go to hone his craft, I don't know . . . maybe an academy that could offer some refinement and training for quarterbacks?

Seeing how many talented QBs Sark has worked with and sent to the NFL, I am surprised to see Manning play like this. Was this forced upon him by the boosters? Or was he essentially fooled? Manning's form is only slightly better than Buchner's.
Just because you have the genes, doesn't mean it's all that you need.
I know nothing about it but this seems logical. I mean, dude had the world of expectations on his shoulders to start with. The reports of bad mechanics are baffling though. I mean, did he not grow up in the Manning Camps? Think one of his family members might mention that he has a major problem? Anyway, just think injury and overhype is what is going on. Horns down though. Hope they lose the rest of their games on their cupcake schedule.I think he's injured and that is affecting his play. Once he gets healthy, he will be much more productive. But I also think he was over-hyped and will have a hard time living up to the expectations - injured or not.

Not sure about Sark anymore after watching last year with Ewer's and now Manning. Trophy wife and now huge marital problems. Is there a pattern there! He needs to get his head back on football.

And I don't know the big deal in Sark acknowledging he's injured and allowing him to heal, rather than subjecting the kid to ungodly criticism. If people knew he was injured, I doubt he gets the level of criticism he's gotten. So, I don't understand that angle, if he's truly hurt. It's a massively selfish move by Sark and the staff. I would also find it hard to believe Cooper Manning would allow this, because you know good and well he knows whether Arch is hurt or not.
I wonder if Texas doesn't have a backup QB ready. I mean, they've been sitting on Arch for several years trying to get him ready. What about the other QBs? Maybe Arch really is hurt, but Sark got caught with his pants down?
Correct. I think if you look at Sark’s career (excluding his last two years at Texas) he has basically been an 8-5 or 7-6 coach. In his days at Washington, many of his own fanbase referred to him as “8&4 Sarkâ€Â.I thought the consensus was that Lane Kiffin was the real genius behind the USC offense? His stops at UW and USC as head coach were not impressive.
Matthew Caldwell is the only one with any experience. Played at Troy for the 2024 season … started the final five games of the season, leading Troy to a 3-2 record in those games. All the others are freshmen or redshirt freshmen.I wonder if Texas doesn't have a backup QB ready. I mean, they've been sitting on Arch for several years trying to get him ready. “His footwork is horribleâ€Â…â€Âhis mechanics are horribleâ€Â…â€Âhis accuracy is terribleâ€Â…â€Âhe’s only playing because of NIL dealsâ€ÂThis thread reads very much like what we have experienced over the last 2 years...
