Were you surprised Auburn played Oklahoma so tough?

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

No. Fourteen tackles for loss. All the whining about the refs but they were given field position by throwing and getting pass interference.

68 offensive plays, every fourth to fifth went backwards. 3-15 on third down.

Didn’t play them tough at all.

If you look at the stats for both the OU and 8&4 games, it would seem AU would have lost both by multiple scores. Their defense must really be playing well to keep them in these games.

Auburn defense played well. TAMU played Auburn into the game with stupid penalties (119 yards worth) at the worst times. AU’s only TD came on a 76 yard interception to the 2 yard line as TAMU was driving.
That should have been a 24-3 or 31-3 loss for the Barn. Auburn couldn’t establish a run game and Jackson Arnold was a statue in the pocket..
