Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama @ UMo...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

DeBoer acknowledged after the game there were too many mistakes all the way around in the game. There were so many things inherently going against us in this game I'm not going to be too critical. We played two back to back very physical and emotional games the previous two weeks and having to come into today's game with Mizzoo having two weeks off and a lot more rested than us. Sometimes you just have to look at the results, factor in the context and just be thankful the team was mentally tough enough to execute and win inspite of the mistakes.

I think the win was a gut check. We won without our A game. It reminded me a lot of some of our games early in CNS run at Bama when we leaned on an opportunistic D and ball control O.

To their credit, Mizzu put us in difficult positions all day long with their defense. To Bama's credit, our O made enough plays to squeeze out a quality, tough road win!

On the fourth quarter TD drive after we went up by 10, did we go into a prevent type coverage in the secondary?

If we get off the field there this win would have been alot less stressful the last 2 minutes.
we were then they crossed the 50 and we went with a "normal " defense that allowed them the big gain inside the 5
