Scott Moore: Petrino meeting

Notwithstanding his tremendous football acumen (at least on the offensive side of the football), I think Petrino would be a poor fit for UA. IMO, he'd jump at the first opportunity to head the league.
he turned down an opportunity in the NFL last year

University of Louisville coach Bobby Petrino confirmed that he turned down the Oakland Raiders job for the third time, including another proposal on Wednesday night that would have paid him $18 million over five years.

Petrino told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that he was flattered by the Raiders' persistence but that he was committed to Louisville and did not feel his family was ready for a move.

I had no idea they offered him that job. Don't know where I was.

I posted this before. CBP has a son that is playing in the 4A playoff game on thursday nite. One thing was his wife not wanting to leave Louisville because of the three children the oldest is the QB at Trinity but now is playing in his last game. They have two other teens and the second son also starts at DB.

CBP took a lot of heat from everyone with the wartiger mess and was almost let go by the AD. (Who by the way is very highly respected nation wide) There are some things about the coach that I will not share because it really isn't fair, but I did mention how he has been sued by a player about not getting his scholarship. (PLayer lost in court) CBP has a great offensive mind and doesn't do a lot with the defense.

Henderson Ky. is about 200 miles from Louisville not 40 and is across the river from Evansville Indiana. If there was going to be a meeting it would be in Louisville. I'll wait and see before I say anymore.

I have no insider info or "sources". I was curious whta Petrino's buy-out is and who customarly pays this. I would think it is very large also.

Scott Moore is now saying that it is down to 3
Spurrier, Petrino, and Johnson. He claims all 3 have numbers in front of them and that we will not know anything until Thursday.

Scott Moore now posting that its 1.spurrior 2.Petrino 3.Paul
Johnson in that order and that all are interested.
