What exactly are the rules that the NCAA allows for a coach to meet with the their players in the spring?

More specifically are there any special exceptions for a new coach to introduce himself?

Of course Saban can have a team meeting to introduce himself. Players can also meet with the coach. Coaches are not allowed to participate in any coaching activity (drills etc.) at any time except spring and fall training and during the season. S&C coach can work with players at any time.
