Weightroom Report

320 sounds about right for big Andre. With his technique and quick feet he can be a superstar at that weight. I don't expect to see him weigh in less than that.

Yes, he was. And late in the season, perhaps after the last game, although I heard it earlier, it was decided that he needed surgery. I wouldn't offer an opinion on the injury's impact on his blocking. I couldn't have helped. OTOH, most of his break-downs were a problem of "feet," rather than shoulder...

It sounds like most of the players are fired up to work hard in the weightroom. I think next year we are going to see an Oline that is 100% better and that attacks instead of being passive.
I cannot wait to see how much more our team attacks next year and improves as the season progresses.
The future looks strong for the first time in many moons.

I have confidence that Andre will be down to about 320 by the time September rolls around. CNS is going to be the best thing to happen to Andre since he's been at Alabama.

AS probably needs to drop a quick 35-40 pounds . Reported at 348 last year , played at 330 . If he puts in the effort , maybe he won't fade down the stretch like he did during the last 3-4 games of this past season . I'm sure CBC had something to contribute to the regression as well .:mad2:

Do they ever post how much these guys can lift? I know when CNS was at LSU they would publish how much each player could bench press, squat, and deadlift. That's some pretty cool info. The stength of some of these guys is amazing. There are 190 lb. recievers who can bench 400 lbs.!

In many cases our secondary players were out lifting the OL. When that is happening you're in trouble.....

This brings an interesting point. Will Andre loose some weight and play slimmer? For some reason I see him playing at 290 to 295 and being more of a menace than he was. If he can drop some of the baby fat he's carrying, I see...WOW! Chris Samuels all over again!

I bet you wouldn't call it "baby fat" to his face.

I might if I felt like I could a)outrun him or b)had a deathwish. Honestly, I don't see AS as being a violent person off the field. Kinda like a Nolan Ryan. He's a nice enough guy, but he said that on the mound, he'd hit his mother with a 100 mph fastball if he had to.

I think we're gonna see a real turnaround with the strength and conditioning of this team. I really don't see CNS being one to incorporate yoga and flex training for O line ( or anyone else for that matter ).

I think we're gonna see both lines knocking people off the ball and our defensive line getting a good push into the backfield and getting a good rush on the passer. The days of our passivity ( my new word for the day hahaha ) I think are gone.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I would have been happy with the RR hire but in all honesty, I think CNS is ( at this time ) just what the doctor ordered.

ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!!!!!!
