what's your screen name mean?

Wow! This post has staying power! So, as for me...

Patently Bama

Merriam Webster defines "patently" as "readily visible or obvious" as in my love for the Tide. "Bama" is also obvious.

My screen name means: Obviously Bama - as if there was another choice?!

It is also a play on words as I am a patent attorney - thus "patently."

"Come hear Uncle John's Band playin' to THE TIDE!!!"

so, um...no my name isn't John and I don't have a band, but I do have some nephews and nieces.

I am the Chief of a Volunteer Fire Department and a Bama fan...:BigA:

Orange is included in the team colors of our three biggest rivals: Auburn, Florida and of course, Tennessee. I live in Tennessee and, although my name is directed mostly toward them, I include the others. I HATE ORANGE.

I am a huge tide fan, and I go to UNA (University of North Alabama)

We were up to #3 this year in the polls yet everyone here still preferred Alabama or Auburn over UNA. I guess that's how it goes when you're a DII School!

Tider -- was at UNA for 5 and 1/2 great years. Won 3 FB and 1 BB DII National Championships during that time. Sure was fun to go to those games too !!!!

jrock is an old college nickname
44 is my favorite number

grew up listening to LSU on the radio with my Mama on Saturday nights, played a very little football there 81-84, (bama was always the cleanest team we played) lived in Louisiana all my life, born in 63

In Navy communications terminology, your signal quality and legibility are measured on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best. So if someone communicates to you that you are coming across 5X5 or fivers, your message is loud and clear. Spittin nickels is Navy radio slang for coming across fivers. Hopefully, on all of my posts I'll be spittin nickels.... loud and clear. The misspelling is an inside joke that I'll explain at a later date!
Hoo-yah and Roll Tide!
