I've heard the announcers say the wind is affecting JPW's throwing. If that's the case why didn't it affect Lee's throws late in the 2nd quarter?
There appears to be time to make throws. Has JPW just lost all his confidence because he isn't checking out 2nd or 3rd options and he has had time to do that. I'm not bashing, just hoping he either gets going or we see if somebody else can get the offense moving. I've been impressed with McElroy even though he was playing against weak competition, but maybe if we can't get things moving we ought to see what he can do for a series.
What do you think?

Roll Tide Roll and Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Re: Is it really the wind?

No! It is not the wind!!! Fitzgerald hit a 34 yarder with the wind in the 2nd quarter. No way a SEC punter can punt like he has this game with the wind. We just aren't playing very good football today and John Parker looks lost. I don't really know what McElroy can do against real defenses but I'm almost willing to take a look right now.

Re: Is it really the wind?

Who knows about the wind but, this has got to stop...good grief.

Surely they can muster more than seven points.

Re: Is it really the wind?

The real difference in the game.....special teams returns. I wish I had Javier Arenas' return averages in our first 3 games and in these last 2. Georgia and FSU have shut our return game down and flat out not given him a chance to make a big play on special teams.

Re: Is it really the wind?

Between the pitiful play calling and JP's continued off streak we are about to drop our second in a row. Sadly this is a team that we are making look better than they are. I hope we still have some 4th quarter O left.

Re: Is it really the wind?

Personally I can't stand our "new" offense. To watch it the last 2 weeks versus better defenses it truely is offensive to watch. We are trying to set up the run from the pass and it ain't working. JPW looks incompetent a large majory of the time until the end of the game. But if we aren't in the game at the end what good does that do us?

I'm extremely ticked off right now and watching the defense playing lights out for the most part is truely a crime that we can't get W tonight. Sadly, I think the only way we may score is from the defensive side of the ball.

If Saban feels like I do he wants to throw up. Lord I hope he can get our offense on the right track. Granted best I remember it was supposed to be a strong point for us this year.

Re: Is it really the wind?

We always wait until the end of the game and we're down before we open up the playbook a little more. Can't blame the defense for that big play giving them 21. The offense put them in that position and it eventually catches up with you.

Re: Is it really the wind?

We all just need to remember that we knew what kind of year this was going to be, and when we beat Arkansauce the optimism just got a whee bit...well, unrealistic. I, personally, think it's amazing what coach Saban's doing with the personnel we have on defense. However, you can lead a horse to water, but....

JPW is a surprise but...it happens.
