Looks like another commitment!!

Excellent News

This is great news. We will be better this year (8-3). Another 2 years of good to great recruiting and Bama Football will return to the elite of college football. RTR!!

This is really good news. He is listed as 6' 4", 240' so he does have the size for DE. This is the first I have heard of him as a Bama prospect. He is listed as a solid verbal which is much better than a soft or :conf3: verbal. lol

He looks like he is a big ole boy

The Crimson Tide picked up it's second commitment from a high school football player on Monday evening when defensive end/linebacker Baron Huber (6-3½ , 238, 4.7) of Knoxville-Powell, Tennessee picked Alabama over Navy.

Looks like.....

his grades are on the money if he had offers from the Naval Academy. BOL had made a mistake when the listed him as a soft verbal...the BOL staff has since corrected this. Welcome aboard Barron!!

yes...it is official. He has commited to the Tide. Word is he is a good student, and should easily qualify. Also heard Sparky Woods recruited him. Shula and staff seem to be great recruiters....if the Bama Nation will be patient with Shula, he will return us to the promise land. So as I see it we already have 6 guys for the 05 class. Washington, Fanny, Cardwell, Huber, Smith(JUCO) and Felder(JUCO)....Also with Wilson, and Davis grey-shirting they will count toward the 05 class too. So that is at least 8. So we only have 16-17 schollies left. We are filling our slots for the 05 class nicely. All those who have been worried about our 05 recruiting class.....relax....everything is starting to shake out beautifully. ROLL TIDE!!!

Everybody who saw him at camp said he was very impressive. One account I read earlier said he was one of the best at camp. This looks like a good pick up.

I had posted earlier that "dbtide" who works the camps said he was the best at any position. Can play inside, DE, or LB.

if Bama struggles this year and next..... if Coach Shula is seen as making progress in recruiting, then everybody knows help is on the way....

I agree. If Shula continues to get top prospects, eventually it will all even out and we will be back in Top 10 for years to come.

"I told the coaching staff that my parents have raised me to be a man of my word, and I committed to Alabama. I won't take any official visits anywhere else. I'll take my official visit to Alabama, and that's where I want to go."
These are the young men we're looking for....... Welcome and Roll Tide Mr. Huber

NOW THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT!!!! That's the kind of kid that'll get us turned around very quickly.

This sounds like a wonderful young man who will do Bama proud. He is obviously a person of great character and integrity who would naturally migrate towards someone like Coach Shula and as far away as possible to Phatimus who, as we all know, is certainly lacking in such personal values.
