Throw back uniforms

I would really like to know what is the big deal about wearing "throwback" uniforms? What am I missing?

Why not? Put the cheerleaders in the long skirts, and then let the Million Dollar Band perform some precision marching formations such as forming the score of the game during the half-time show the way they did under Col. Butler...

NO uniform changes. teams having artificial tradition do things like that (see Oregon, UF, Miami, etc).

Just give me a team that plays hard for 4 quarters in the uni's they're wearing now and I'm happy.

It would be a fantastic fundraiser for us. When other schools have done this (like Florida), interested fans have been willing to pay a lot for such jerseys.

It is a good way to make some $. The more variations on the uniform you can come up with, the more versions of jerseys you can sell at Bama Fever, etc. Making them 'throwback' adds nostalgia as well and acts as a great marketing campaign without much expense.

The only thing that Id like to see changed for good is bring back the numerals on the jersey sleeves permanently and I wish the tear away jerseys would return without having to be rolled up. I love the old style.

Tear away jerseys were outlawed twenty or so years ago.
