Really, the stupid press conference is not that big a deal, get on with it!

Yes it is possible that they know something about their chances with JJ that we don't. Then again if I have a chance to sign a 5* WR I do it.I wonder if that could be a sign that maybe they figure their chances with Julio aren't that good? Hmmmm, makes me wonder. I hope that's the case anyway!:biggrin2:
Do you have a link?I saw on scout today that JJ is supposed to do his official on December the 7, does anyone know anything about this??
Scout also says that he is visiting Oklahoma on the 3rd......which would mean he wouldnt be at the LSU game??? i have really never looked at scout before but i was just wondering what the validity of these statements are?
Personally the OU trip is nothing more then a courtesy trip for Jones. Most---not all--- HS sign with team that basically in the area. So, I honestly believe the OU is nothing more then a courtesy/fact finding type trip for himHopefully, he has seen enough Bama games and his mind is made up and this trip to OU is just a free trip.
I'm assuming this is the article he is misquoting LINK. The article says he canceled a scheduled trip to FSU so he could come to the TN game. It doesn't say he dropped FSU.I don't mean to start rumors in any way and if any one feels that way I do apologize but a friend told me that in the Atlanta Journal Constitution they had an article about recruiting and that Julio Jones dropped Florida State.
Hey thanks thats my bad.I'm assuming this is the article he is misquoting LINK. The article says he canceled a scheduled trip to FSU so he could come to the TN game. It doesn't say he dropped FSU.
Just a tip on searching for stuff like this. On google you can search a site by typing something like "site:ajc.com Julio Jones" in the search box.
Most HSers tend to not want to play football too far from their own backyards. I realize there are the Joe McKnights, who will travel to play college football, but the majority of HSers will find a school in the radius of their home to play their college football. Which means, IMO, Jones going to Oklahoma is like an itch that he will need scratched. But ultimately, I also believe JJ will be a Bammer.I truly believe that JJ is coming to Bama.
But, if I were him I would at least go to schools that I was wondering about because if he doesn't, one day, he may look back and wonder what that school was like. People tend to have regrets about what they don't do, not what they did.
And, if he is so taken by OU that he choses to play there, in the Big 12, not here in the SEC, close to his family, then that is what he should do. But, I don't think that will happen. I think that he is simply tying up loose threads.

Yep. That seals it. Now he will definitely go somewhere else!Just thought I add this but his girlfriend is already at Bama. that's more powerful than anything else we got.
