whats the word on the FB Abernathy??? I have heard zero about him in a while. At one point i thought there may be grade concerns but then again I rarly know much.

I have heard he is having serious grade issues, but I don't have the specifics. He is the # 1 ranked fullback in the country according to Rivals.

You just have to think that if the second thing you hear about a guy after his athletic ability is grade issues and he is over a year away from his signing day that it has to be a big big issue. Best I remember the grade issue information started coming out last signing day or maybe sometime before and that really is not the best situation for him to be in. Hopefully he'll buckle down and get it together. It would be something for him to sign with Bama. Then the possibility would exist for Bama to sign a nationally rated top 5 FB in back to back classes and neither of them make it to campus for a couple years.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him move even further up the list by season's end. To me he would be a perfect fit for Coach Saban's style on the OL. I would love to see us find some way to bring him to the Capstone.

Oh it's a strong list but , as in most years there will be a lot of super players that nobody knows we even have a shot at yet . I believe with a good season we'll be in on many more studs .

Hope that's true. Right now we have solid commits, and hopefully can keep it up. With a solid season, there is no way CNS doesn't start drawing more elite players from the southeast.

While Willie Bohannon isn't the best fit in a 3-4, but he is vastly underrated by most sites. I feel very confident he will have an excellent career at Kentucky and would love to have him over Green and Harbin.

I think many people considred him a non-factor in the pre-season because of his grade situation which has drasticly improved . :cool2:

Well it looks like Scout.com needs to redo that list with a pre-NSD list. It is already obsolete with Tyler Love and Mark Barron recently getting their 5th stars on Scout.com. By their own definition both Love and Barron should now be rated ahead of Antoine McClain a 4 star.
