South Endzone Expansion update!! (merged)

whew.... thats amazing..... a buddy of mine said there might be something like apartments in the stadium, or more like pent house or something like that. you guys hear anything about that? man the virtual pics look outstanding though. RTR!!!:biga2:

What would be absolutely amazing would be to have just one, but have it run the entire width of the addition. You could extend the two elevator towers on the addition to the top and use those to form the base of the edges of the video board.

It would be bigger than this one, which I think is the largest currently....

From a numbers standpoint it appears that we'll have a minimum of $102,000 and possibly as many as $103,000 but more than likely they'll have almost an exact replica (from inside the stadium anyway) to the North end. The difference would be on the exterior since there would be no need for some of the items that the North has (offices and meeting space).

With the donation level it'd be more like 500 $1 bills.

We were at 83,818 and now we're at 92,158. If we did an identical expansion we'd be at 100,458.

If anything, the number will be a touch less as they put in more luxury suites and skyboxes to get the ROI correct but I expect they're going to get at least 100,001 SOMEHOW.
 
The top deck will have four more rows than the deck over the North endzone expansion. This was necessary in order to push the total over $100,000, which is a stated goal of this expansion.
 
I know this has been mentioned many times, but with it's closeness to the graveyard and Bryant Drive, is it going to be able to have anything like that in the sketch? I think it does look great, but I think if that brick face is put in there, there is going to be very little space from the stadium to Bryant Drive. Not necessarily little space, but on gameday, it would be crammed on that side.

Won't be that crammed. The street will be blocked off, as it is now, and there will be plenty of room. I wish there was something that they could do with the TV trucks near the SW ramp. Not only do they cause congestion, the wires and cables cause a hazard.
 
I just hope we make avaliable more actual seats in the bleachers. I want it to be miserable on the opposing teams. Plus, a huge video board and Damn new SOUND SYSTEM...
