I have a feeling he just might be the man. Very few if any coaches can match what he has accomplished this year, and this wasn't even supposed to be the year of the Tide. Goes to show what a great coach he is.

Absolutely should be a foregone conclusion. No other coach in the country has turned their team's record or national relevance around in the past year. Should obviously win the conference's award, and potentially the national award, regardless of the next two game's results.

I think everyone has a point here! Bob Stoops didn't turn around Oklahoma, and whoever coaches Texas didn't turn around that program either. I think it's a shoo-in for Saban, since none of the others have that turn-around factor. Even if we lose to Florida and our BCS Bowl opponent, as long as we play 'em close, it could still happen.

I agree with everyone else. It should be in the bag. The only other coach that could possibly be considered would be Brian Kelly, but scew that, give it to Saban.

Dude, Stoops won the MNC in his second year at OU. I would say that was a pretty quick turn around.

PS - No matter what, Saban deserves it this year.

The Geo. Tech Yellow Jerkets want to win this in a bad way. Here's a link to one page of their thread. Where are you at Doc? I can't keep this going by myself. Tech nation is serious about Coach Johnson being coach of the year. They hate Coach Saban as you will read on the link.
