I don't think it's as much the record as it is to whom and how they lost. 9-4, while not to Bama's recent standards isn't terrible considering. Losing to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma and Michigan like they did, though, is inexcusable. THAT's what they need to worry about.

This may be a dumb question, especially given what I choked on all last year, but shouldn't the QB be groomed for the offense rather than the other way around?

Those three words are the best description of this coaching staff during the entire course of the season. Being able to respond to what an opponent is doing is THE PIVOTAL THING a coach must be able to do. This staff has proven to be totally inept at their primary job.

I'm not sure that you're mot making a huge assumption here. What's the point for a 19-year-old making $750K a year and knowing that he may only stay a year depending on the money, to bother with such mundane things as a "major" or "going to class"? Maybe we should just fire the admissions...

Which leads me to an interesting plot twist: What if the schools take it to court and then just make motions and countermotions and all the other crap lawyers do to pad their billable hours until there's no money left for the player to pay their lawyer? Bankrupt them early.
