Link: Eddie Conyers -Long Practice Official at Alabama Has Passed Away

Eddie Conyers was hired by Coach Bryant back in the 1960’s to officiate during practices and scrimmages. Eddie was a fixture in the program for more than 60 years. Eddie was 97 and recently celebrated his 77th anniversary with his dear wife. Rest in peace and tell Coach Bryant “hello” for all...

It’s difficult to say for any of these programs. All athletic departments get $20.5 million in revenue sharing. However that has to divided up between all various programs. How much is earmarked for each university’s football program I’m sure varies significantly. Supposedly Kelly spent $18...

Bama (finally) Fires OL Coach Kapilovic

Yeah when Josh stepped down at Gainesville (GA) High to take at staff position at Colorado a few weeks ago, I was somewhat surprised. Having lived in Hoover for over 25 years it just seemed a weird situation going to work for Sanders. I think it might’ve been a situation where Josh saw this as...

Navy coach has Alabama ranked 21st in the final coaches poll

Fickell of Wisconsin left Georgia completely out of top 25. 😂😂😂 Anyone that thinks these guys actually fill out the polls is very much mistaken. They delegate it to an assistant or an intern and they probably tell the custodian to “fill it out and leave on the desk, then take out the trash...

Miami LB to play 8th year

I could be wrong but I think if you had used up all four years of eligibility (without a redshirt year) but had an injury that significantly impacted your participation/playing time in one of those years, you could apply for a medical redshirt. But even with that back years ago, it wasn’t an...

Bama (finally) Fires OL Coach Kapilovic

Just spitballing this but, if you look at Scott Huff at the Rams, he is currently coaching TE’s and was Oline coach with DeBoer at Washington. Bringing him in as Oline coach and add an assistant to work with him would make a lot of sense. And it makes sense regardless of whether it is Huff or...

Miami LB to play 8th year

Generally speaking that was the way it was. You were not getting a second medical redshirt year. In this case, he is getting the benefit of a redshirt year, a Covid year, and TWO medical redshirt years. Sorry but that is ridiculous.

Miami LB to play 8th year

So basically he is getting eight years to play five years. So what is he? Twenty five or twenty six years old? (Edit: Toure just turned 24 years old this month. So he will be almost 25 years old by the time the 2026 season ends). Nah ain’t nothing wrong with this….

Coaching loss tracker for playoff teams (Miami IU OSU GA Ducks)

True but I also think Kirby was (pardon the pun) “smart” about it too. Kirby’s dream job was at UGA. I think he felt at some point the PTB at UGA would grow tired of the “close but no cigar” performance by Mark Richt. While I have no way for knowing for sure, I think there may have some...
