Former player Mike Johnson overview on Kalen DeBoer and Bama after two years

Some of the best coaching advice I ever got came in my first year coaching. I had all these ideas about what we could do and the HC said, "It doesn't matter what we do, we can do all of these things and they can all work. What matters is that we coach it well, have the players to execute the...

Link: Former Tide Player Charles Bediako Sues NCAA (Injunction) to Return to Bama

The American Court system supersedes the rulings of the NCAA and the NCAA knows it. Alabama cannot be forced to vacate any wins from games played during the TRO, as the TRO very clearly defines what the NCAA can and cannot do as punishment to both player and school. Even if the permanent...

News Article: I Agree with Hammer...Disrespected, Which I Hope Turns to Anger, Motivation and Resurrection!!!

Thank You! So what if we don't get the "Bama Bump" anymore. We honestly don't deserve it any longer. But you know who didn't need a bump of any kind this year...Indiana. Just go on the field and prove yourself game by game and all this other stuff takes care of itself. Be in the top 12 or...

I agree. I think you build your program culture via the traditional recruiting methods and then bring in those older transfer players to push the talent over the top. Clemson and FSU are cautionary tales on both extremes of the process. Indiana is really a look at how winning may occur going...

Question: "Alabama can't run the ball" - Have we ever had that issue before?

Honestly I asked AI and that was the response. Either way, it wasn't good (the answer from AI and the fact that we couldn't run the ball wither year ...lol)

Question: "Alabama can't run the ball" - Have we ever had that issue before?

Here is the answer: Volume (YPG): To find a team that gained fewer yards per game than 2025, you only have to go back to 2006 at 123 yards a game Efficiency (YPC): To find a team that averaged fewer yards per carry than 2025's 3.4, you likely have to go back to the J.B. Whitworth era...

    Coaching fit.

This is a different era...we will get whatever talent we can afford to pay. Until Saban becomes the commissioner of NCAA football and the NCAA gets an anti-trust exemption this will remain the Wild Wild West and we can look forward to at least 4 more years of Pavia being QB1 at Vanderbilt.

After worst postseason loss in Alabama history, the Tide are on the wrong side of a 'fine line' under Kalen DeBoer

We score a touchdown with a better thrown ball to Bernard. Still got a big play, but should have been 6

Consolidated O-Line discussion - where has the 24-25 team been, and what do we think the goal is for 26?

Recency bias made me forget how bad the 2021 offensive line was, but this one was in that discussion. This group was better at pass protection, but couldn't open holes for the backs. The 2021 group could at least get Brian Robinson downhill, but had Bryce Young running for his life all the time...

    Coaching carousel 2025-26

I would guess that given the fact that we didn't get many *** looks when he got back to the sideline from coaches or players, that he was audibling to what the staff wanted. I know KDB is a little less fiery on the sideline the CNS, but I have to think at some point he would have boiled over if...

63 Percent - Consistent QB (over) usage

Sports is a copycat industry. 3/4 teams left can play defense AND run the ball in an old school way. The pendulum is swinging back a bit. KDB is not dumb and I expect he will adapt.

After worst postseason loss in Alabama history, the Tide are on the wrong side of a 'fine line' under Kalen DeBoer

I am not sure we want to be a revolving door of coaches. As much as Saban left a much better infrastructure then when he arrived, the roster was lacking after the mass roster departures when he left. KDB has been dealing with lack of roster depth, just look at NFL draft projections for this...

63 Percent - Consistent QB (over) usage

Only because I like to ask AI such questions: High-level defenses like those in the SEC or the "Swarm" style defense Indiana utilized in 2024/2025 are built to destroy the exact concepts I just mentioned if you run them vanilla. Here is the calibration. SEC defenses are "Spill" defenses (they...

Agreed his teams floor is way too low. Our bad needs to be a C+/B-, not a D-/F
