Gymnastics Ranked #3 halfway through the season

Gymnastics Ranked #3 halfway through the season

Had another off beam routine day today as well. Had really excellent scores on the bars, but had a 9.5 and two scores in the 9.6 range that kept us under a 49 total on the beam. We need to get that cleaned up before regionals. We will probably fall the fifth or sixth this week.

Gymnastics Ranked #3 halfway through the season

I agree about Vault, though it has improved over last year. That said, watching the Oklahoma meet, the difference really came down to the fact that Oklahoma sticks at least half its vaults. Not sure our issue there, but if we could improve, we would really be in contention for the final 4 at...

Gymnastics Ranked #3 halfway through the season

I think worth discussing is that Ashley Johnson has slowly rebuilt this team into something that is getting competitive again with top teams. We are currently #3 and I don't think we've had our A-game yet. That said, 7 of the top 10 are SEC schools, so nothing will be easy.

    Potential final ranking prognostication

This is actually the real issue, IMHO. Why do Tulane and JMU "have" to be included? Keep them out and you have all 3 of ND, Bama, and Miami in. Also, IMHO, I would put Duke in instead of James Madison.

    Potential final ranking prognostication

I think we will end up in Tampa against Iowa and they'll put Texas against Michigan in the Citrus. Can we turn it down?

    The November 4, 2025 National/State/Local Election Thread

You obviously don't follow Justin Amash... But... the problem is, in order to run and have any chance at all of getting elected, you have to run under one party or the other. I'd say Jared Polis is more libertarian leaning as well.

    The November 4, 2025 National/State/Local Election Thread

I don't think any of the LP votes would have gone to either of the main party candidates. The focus for the LP in the last few elections has been trying to get to 5% of votes so that they aren't systematically excluded from the process. Neither Republicans nor Democrats want to give the LP the...

You could say the same of the 2020 election. Jo Jorgensen won 1.2% of the national vote.

Actually, I thought the runner had regained the ball when his rear end made contact, then lost it again on contact with the ground. I too, thought he was down by contact.
