LSU will probably give him a look at DE just because we graduate a lot of linemen soon..but who knows where he sticks. Looks like he could play either one and be successful.

He's been underwhelming at best on the camp circuit so far. His showing at USC's camp was not good at all to the point where they've supposedly just stopped recruiting him at all.

Oklahoma isn't really going hard after him anymore. his stock has dropped a lot.

Sometimes not even a star rating or offer list does a recruit justice..I'll just use Morris Claiborne from last year's class as an example because he's fresh in my memory. He's only a 3* kid, and other than LSU the only "big time" schools to offer him were TAMU and Nebraska..with Tulane, LA...

I'm pretty sure it was some bogus rumor that a vol writer came up with. I probably worded my first post wrong..Tennessee was the only fanbase hearing that about him and when he came out, literally, the same day to rebuke it they refused to believe it because one of their writers said he said...

It's funny how things work in Vol-land. One day Kenny Hilliard is a lock to Tennessee and is telling LSU coaches "f*** you" at his high school, and the next day Kenny is telling people it didn't happen and they're calling him a liar. More of the same, I guess.

When he re-opened things he said it was LSU and Florida State so I think he might end up in Tallahassee. Really, though, I have no idea. This is a strange situation. Spencer Ware probably has a lot to do with it..more than Seastrunk anyway.

I thought last year we were short too, though, and we ended up with 24 and would have liked to take 3 more.

At this point it doesn't look like a full 25 will be available for next year..more like 17-20. I can live with that. 2011 is going to be nuts. That's actually a pretty solid top 50, too. The only real change I'd make is flipping Ivan Robinson and James Wright. Robinson is solid but James...

I think Reed might be close to calling it for LSU. He says he's tired of the process..he made that trip up to Auburn with his family this weekend and the barn got excited about it but I think it was a trip to make sure LSU was the right place for him. Seastrunk, who knows, but I like our shot...

It's actually the first I've heard of this. I had heard rumors that Gary Crowton had maybe shot him an offer late in the process but the prevailing sentiment was that they didn't and I just kind of accepted it for what I knew.

I kind of meant "taken a shot at" but I didn't finish my thought, apparently. I'm not trying to be brash. LSU usually gets who they want in Louisiana, though..it's a rare case when a kid goes out of state that they really want. Don't know what would have happened in these cases. But really...

I think Robby Green was a numbers casualty, if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else, though. I know he didn't get an offer but I can't remember why. It might have been a camp showing. LSU would have taken Lacy and Sentimore both had their grades looked better early...
