Before the State game, I predicted we would lose to Tennessee and Florida, but beat Auburn. I'm standing by that prediction.

When I see our fans complain about Nate that he might not be the right coach, etc. And then I turned to CBS and see Indiana and Ohio State with a 49 to 45 game with seven minutes to go. Shades of Anthony Grant, basketball. I just don’t understand anyone that complains about Nate.

Sadly my father in law was having a rough afternoon with his dementia. Wasn’t able to catch much of the game or jump in the thread.

I just had to chuckle a little bit though that our team, one built offensively primarily on perimeter 3 point shooting or finishing at the rim or drawing the foul, won the game on a “buzzer beater, in-the-lane floater” by Mark Sears.

I mean, that floater went through as gently as a stork delivering a newborn baby. Or more appropriately maybe I should say a “crane”..

Nothing I enjoy more than beating slime ball “Barbecue Bruce”.

I’m watching the highlights now. There were a lot of heroes today.

I am feeling much better heading into the postseason. I think we’ve largely rectified the issues that led to the Mizzou and first AU losses.

I think we are in good shape heading into the postseason. Absolutely no reason to doubt Coach Oats. Not only is he great, but he “fits” in Tuscaloosa.

They can't help it. My oldest was an aubbie fan when he was younger and I got a couple of free tickets to the barn hosting some no name team( I think it was WKU with that blob of a mascot probably 15 or so years ago). We were sitting on the thirty yard line about 20 rows up on the visitors side. I could see small bottles of empties flying out of the stands and into the visitors side line. In a blow out. Against a terrible team. They have no class and never will.

Incredible Gut Check win on the road vs the #1 team.

Before the game I still felt like we were an Elite 8 team or at worst a Sweet 16 team.

We’ve played an insanely tough schedule and imo our only ‘bad’ loss lately was to Missouri.

We still have the pieces to make a NCAAT run.

I was happy to see at the end of an instagram clip that an officer went up in the stand and appear to grab someone forcefully by the collar. Only problem was they needed about a dozen up there doing the same thing.

Fwiw I just checked both the updated Torvik and Kenpom rankings and on Torvik we are the 1st #2 Seed now and Kenpom has us ranked #6 overall.

It's been a tough stretch lately but we still have a shot at a #1 Seed depending on how well we do in the SECT.

We are close to securing at least a #2 Seed though.

We are still in great shape for the NCAAT

That game was good for the soul! To beat those jokers on their senior day was glorious! I’m proud of this team for going into that wild environment and in the middle of all the hoopla surrounding the rivalry and competing like they did. One of the best regular season wins I can ever remember for Bama basketball!

We will be a solid 2 seed at worst. Win the SEC tournament OR at least make it to the championship against anyone but Florida and we may take the last 1 seed. As long as we finish number 1 at the end I'm good
