BREAKING Director Rob Reiner and his wife murdered in their home, 12-16-25

Every single time I see something this tone deaf on behalf of this man's mother's failure to use sufficient birth control, I think to myself, "This HAS to be parody, right? This HAS to be some (probably) liberal comedian wanting to make Clown Boy look dumb."

And every time - he actually did it.
I keep waiting for the Candid Camera guy to pop out and tell us the last 9 years weren't real and then we all laugh in relief.

What a career. First he created one of the most iconic sitcom characters of all time. He does this acting alongside an even more Iconic character. Then he gives up acting and directs a string of very successful movies.

He only took the meathead role for the paycheck. He thought the show wouldn't last. He always wanted to write, produce. and direct.

It took about half a page to turn the discussion from a double-murder wherein the victims’ son is the prime suspect, to a referendum on Donald Trump, complete with sneering personal characterization.

Keep the discussion in this thread on the Reiners’ deaths and their lives prior to yesterday’s tragedy.

If you want to debate how much impact Trump had on them, start a thread on that topic.

We may never know what in the world was in his head when he did this. He stabbed both of his parents to death. I can't even imagine.

I saw a report earlier that the family was at a Christmas party the night before - hosted by Conan O'Brien - and there was a huge dust up between father and son.

Not even sure if drugs had anything to do with it until we hear more.

Celebrity or not - we see parents getting killed by their children every year because they can't resolve things amicably.

Sometimes I wonder why we don't have more emphasis on conflict resolution in the media.

Once you master this skill - it's amazing how little conflict seeps into one's life.....

Because no one watches when 2 people are shaking hands...

One of the best classes I had in high school was "Sociology". I still remember our teacher Mr. Phillips.

Why did I enjoy it so much?

Because I learned the actual (clinical) reasons why people act certain ways and do certain things.

There was no course or class on "Conflict Resolution" - but this was helpful for me in at least understanding more about my fellow humans.

I wonder if "Sociology" is still being taught in high school.

I wonder why one in "Conflict Resolution" wouldn't be useful. In high school, especially.
