We need running backs with speed and vision. Our guys seemed to just slam into where the hole was supposed to be.
I said “perhaps”. At this point it seems to be in inability to develop or an inability to evaluate portal talent. That is quite reaching sir.
He played in 2 games!!! and is a freshman....this isn't what we need but if this is what we get...we are in a whole heap of trouble...
Visiting Alabama tomorrow.
Are you not entertained?!?!?!?!?
Gut feelings and potential don’t mean he is good. Catching the ball as a wr is a low bar especially if you can’t get open. Comparing him to an NFL player from Clemson is not realistic. Obviously bama struggled catching the ball but if a guy can’t get open then doesn’t matter. Guy didn’t beat out anyone in order to get on the field and got passed. Just never seen so much thought on bench players that didn’t even see the field.
13 total catches in 3 seasons.
I disagree for many reasons... I'll have to get back with you on this...maybe later on tonight or tomorrow regarding this. I've read so many takes on this on this board in the last 48 hours and some of it concerns me as a fan... regarding takes on CKD and his evaluations on players....I said “perhaps”. I added in the right coaching fit thread. Delaying a change delays success. He didn’t have to win this year, but there should be a glimpse of the future. The future at the moment is cloudy.I disagree for many reasons... I'll have to get back with you on this...maybe later on tonight or tomorrow regarding this. I think when people speculate on something that they think aren't happening, it doesn't do any good for the fan base as a whole. I see everyone want to see the coaching changes NOW, but nobody is taking in the fact that the staff is focusing on portal additions this week and next week before turning their attention to making changes on the staff. I am 95 percent sure that there will be some changes on OL coach, and maybe ST team changes.I added in the right coaching fit thread. Delaying a change delays success. yes. If it's been posted, then it's true. He is making the right decision. Is the Keon Keely (sp?) news true?! If so he’s much better than the guy from usc. This is very frustrating news if true
Thanks to Mod for catching that. Obviously I'm deaf and I can't hear what they're saying. If I post something that seems not appropriate, please let me know.Supposedly visiting Alabama on Tuesday :
The bookend performances showed a problem larger than talent or development. It indicated to me that a lack of preparation or lack of control is there. It’s not about patience. The problems haven’t been with impatient progression to the new process. It’s that the process seems like a bad one.I think when people speculate on something that they think aren't happening, it doesn't do any good for the fan base as a whole. CKD is not a dumb man. He's not clueless on lot of things that happened on and off the field. He knows what needs to change and I feel like he is addressing that through the portal right now and eventually he will do the same with coaching changes... after both of that.. I expect him to change some things up in 4th quarter program and off the field activities to promote physicality, focus, and other.
The fact Team made to SEC Championship and playoff this year and in Year 2 of CKD... even through there was lot going on... and to see the changes are being made... from what I understand.... I expect lot of better things in year 3...
But I do agree that if he knows that changes are needed and he doesn't make those changes... then it won't end well for him.
Geez, Brown saw and hit more holes full speed in that short video than I've seen out of the Alabama RB room in 2 years.Supposedly visiting Alabama on Tuesday :
This is beyond ridiculous.Keeon Keely is entering the portal? Why? He started playing a lot more this season.

Formby is a stunner. He is best friends with Proctor and his families restaurant in Tuscaloosa won’t be the same. How can you hang pictures of Formby in an A&M jersey in Tuscaloosa?Formby and Keeley are shockers.
Figured Formby was a lock to start again, at least at OG. Maybe he only want to play OT, or realizes the OL coach here isn't going to help him develop to his fullest.
Keeley just seemed to be figuring it out. We sunk a bunch of development time into him and he's just now starting to show his promise, with a likely chance at being the guy next year and now he's out.
I don’t care about Coleman give me my d lineman back. This is beyond ridiculous.
My main concern here is retooling the oline before you retool the staff.
Visiting Alabama tomorrow.
