I don't think he will fall out of first round. NFL qb play wasn't great this year. Half of the team is looking for a qb.
Just because I'm still a touch bitter, I hope Ty's contract DWARFS that of a certain JM Bama QB.If he actually goes in the Top 15 of Round 1 he will sign a Monster Contract.
Pittsburgh is a place that has been snake bitten by not being low enough to select a franchise quarterback. Pickett was basically forced on them by the fans, but pretty much every quarterback on roster was a guy that they never really thought would be the guy.
So Ty going there has alot of upside
Any word on is A-A- Ron is returning?
What? Please elaborate. Not surprising Russell announced his resigning today too.
He’s staying at Bama. Keelon Russell. What? Please elaborate.

I'm guessing Ty would have a Heisman on his shelf and Mendoza would have a cracked rib.I wonder how well Mendoza would have done behind our OL and how Ty might have looked at IU.
Haha - the English language…. re-signing vs resigningHe’s staying at Bama. Keelon Russell.
I wonder if this is another deal similar to what Ewers said was the deciding factor on his entry to the draft vs going into the portal. If so, more kudos to Ty for wanting to be remembered as a “Bama man"Just heard Rick Neuheisel say on the radio that he had heard on good authority that Bama encouraged Ty to move on. Not sure how much Rick knows.
You want me to tell you why I don't believe that? Because neither QB behind him was even close to being where Ty was in his development. To "encourage" the most developed QB you have to "move on" and hope that the two behind him develop enough to just get to the place Ty was, is idiotic. If the staff did that they are morons. They have ZERO idea if Mack or Russell is going to develop enough over the offseason to even be as good as Ty was this season. I'm hoping this story isn't true.Just heard Rick Neuheisel say on the radio that he had heard on good authority that Bama encouraged Ty to move on. Not sure how much Rick knows.
We know he had big money opportunities in the portal! He must have gotten some very positive feedback to have him go into the draft instead. I do tend to believe that the Alabama staff has some very big challenges ahead without starting over at QB!You want me to tell you why I don't believe that? Yeah, its an open competition when Spring Practice rolls around...It's not that simple, IMO.
This will be debated a plenty between now and next spring.
But it's not as simple as who was #2 in relief in a blowout game to end the season.
Pecking order matters until it doesn't. And I'm not saying it won't be Mack (if he stays), but there may be a lot of reasons Russell will be our QB next fall, even with some growing lumps and bumps.
