Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) (part II)

I feel bad for the qualified and rational ICE agents who now have to deal with comrades who are incompetent and dangerous buffoons.

But behind the scenes, current and former ICE agents have expressed concerns about the agent’s conduct, about the agency’s operations in Minneapolis, and about a broader push by the Trump administration to aggressively recruit more agents.

“I’m embarrassed,” one former ICE agent with more than 25 years of experience told TIME. “The majority of my colleagues feel the same way. It’s an insult to us, because we did it the right way to see what they’re doing now.”

Callaghan said he was ultimately released after an agent made a remark that he described as both dismissive and disturbing. “Well, you’re white, and you wouldn’t be any fun anyway. Get out of the car,” he recalled being told.

Callaghan said he was detained for less than an hour, but he walked away feeling shaken by what he believed the interaction revealed. “Now I was confronted with the fact that these ICE agents that are supposed to be keeping my neighborhood safe were actually there for sport,” he said.

There are so many more videos of abuse and illegal arrest coming out, but we can't link to them because of board rules.

Like the 17-year-old Target employee, a U.S. citizen with a passport in his possession, who was arrested the other day. He was slammed to the ground, face bleeding, thrown into an unmarked car, but was found a couple of miles away in a Walmart parking lot, where ICE let him go. Tell me, if he really obstructed an investigation or official operations and was really under arrest, why did they just drop him off minutes later in a Walmart parking lot?

Since Trump took office, it has always been about intimidation, not honest law enforcement.

Homan: We're going to create a database. Those people that are interfering, we're going to make them famous and put their face on TV. We're going to let their employers and their neighborhoods and their schools know who these people are. I bet you a lot of their employers don’t know what they are doing.

Oh, good. Let's do the same thing to ICE.

nothing to see here folks

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Cuban immigrant died in a Texas immigration detention facility earlier this month during an altercation with guards, and the local medical examiner has indicated that his death will likely be classified as a homicide.

The federal government has provided a differing account surrounding the Jan. 3 death of Geraldo Lunas Campos, saying the detainee was attempting suicide and staff tried to save him.

A witness told The Associated Press that Lunas Campos died after he was handcuffed, tackled by guards and placed in a chokehold until he lost consciousness. The immigrant’s family was told by the El Paso County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday that a preliminary autopsy report said the death was a homicide resulting from asphyxia from chest and neck compression, according to a recording of the call reviewed by the AP.

He was probably here illegally, so it’s no big deal.

These scenes are not happening in Texas, Georgia, Florida, and other red states. ICE is in those states and deporting people, But those states are cooperating with ICE. Partisans in blue states have decided it is virtuous to protect illegal aliens, regardless of the length of their rap sheets. Believing the cause righteous and herself virtuous, Renee Good entered the fight to stymie ICE. After her death, her partner screamed out, “You used real bullets?”

Chicago.....9 1/2 years ago:

CNN embeds with a team of Chicago Immigration and Customs enforcement agents as they fan out all over the city. They are arresting undocumented felons.

Florida....5 months ago:

Federal and state officials on Thursday announced the results of an immigration enforcement sweep in Florida that targeted convicted sex offenders. NewsNation's Ali Bradley reports the joint effort, dubbed “Operation Criminal Return," resulted in the arrest of more than 230 people accused of being in the U.S. illegally.

San Diego....6 months ago:

A man with a history of child sex offenses and ties to a gang in San Diego has been arrested by federal law enforcement agents, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said.

(pedophile protector) Minnesota....."Hold my beer!"......

Protesters are clashing outside the Whipple Federal Building a day after ICE was involved in a second shooting in Minneapolis.

Stephen Miler via Homeland Security: REMINDER. “To all ICE officers: You have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. Anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop you or tries to obstruct you is committing a felony. You have immunity to perform your duties, and no one—no city official, no state official, no illegal alien, no leftist agitator or domestic insurrectionist—can prevent you from fulfilling your legal obligations and duties. The Department of Justice has made clear that if officials cross that line into obstruction, into criminal conspiracy against the United States or against ICE officers, then they will face justice.”

Hitler eventually turned on his low IQ SA’s who he hyped up as “stormtroopers” even after they laid the groundwork of his rise in the streets.

I hate making fascist comparisons to the modern world but the weaponization of the legal system and law enforcement these past 10 years is very concerning.

ICE detainee population reaches record high.
Internal Homeland Security data reveals that the number of detainees in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody facing deportation has reached a record high of roughly 73,000. The count is the highest in ICE's nearly 23-year history and marks a roughly 84% increase from the same time last year. Nearly 67,000 detainees were single adults, and another 6,000 were classified as family units.
