That might have been the most biased and worse announcing crew I’ve heard. Heaven forbid they mention barn 20 yr old “freshman” that played overseas. Or get any name right.

Barn is still a dirty team. Crew claimed every flagrant foul was clean and they were wrong.

Great win. Hopefully can start getting on a roll. Team pre conference looked like legit top 10 team and now they have some grit but still seem little lost in what they want to be. I know injuries all year. Freshman are doing well. Sherrell just needs to go stronger, he’s getting hacked but needs to use his muscles. Team seems very close to being legit. Have to appreciate coach and all the tweaking this year through a lot of injuries and Bediako stuff. No Williamson this game so that was sweet. lol Really appreciate Holloway this year.

That's a great analogy because a game thread OR topical post is really just like a virtual room where you and a bunch of other Bama fans are watching a game together while commenting on what is happening, right?

When I've been together with friends in a real room watching a game, the conversations and emotions ebb and flow depending on what is happening in the game.

If the coach makes an odd call, we question it and shake our heads. If a player makes a terrible mistake, we throw our hands up in despair. When the QB can't complete a 3rd down pass for a 1st down for 2 or 3 series in a row, we talk about how it's going to be hard to win with him in the game.

I guess where I'm confused about the basketball board is it seems we are being moderated in a way that doesn't fit with the traditional TideFan's model.

I think you have the impression I'm a negative poster and only post when I see what's wrong but all I want to do is discuss the game/topic with fellow Bama fans.

Holloway had himself a game and that had to have felt really good against the barn. That 4 point play was the dagger!

Beds has been a plus, no doubt.

I'm still confused with Sherrell. He seems to have hops on defense when getting up to block and shot, but when he's going to the rim, he acts like he has no vertical. He goes to the rim like a 6 foot guard who has to be cute to avoid getting his shot blocked. I'd really like to see him just bring some thunder dunks instead!!!

Say what you want about Vitale, but I kinda like the guy. He came up with a good one when he said, "it's all nylon for Philon".

He's always been an ACC homer. During the game, he kept gushing about the Duke-Carolina game that night - all the while mispronouncing names of the players in our game. Definitely lost a step (like Corso on GameDay), but still brings some entertainment value.

Injuries definitely have contributed to the inconsistency of the team this year and like you, it was good to see the Williamson adjustment. In the past few games, Allen, Holloway, and Jemison seem to really be improving... and Chuck seemed more aggressive on Saturday too. Back part of our schedule is far more manageable... UT game at the end of the month will be the litmus test for how we've addressed our issues. Right now it's good to see improvement game to game.

A road win at Auburn is always big. Two strong wins this last week.

Oats went to an 8-man rotation this game and cut out Williamson and Bethea. I think that was smart and helped them get in a rhythm more. All 8 players contributed tremendously to the win too!

I didn't get to watch the game live but recorded it. It was a gritty win in a tough place to play. If we could just stay healthy and find a little more defense, consistent rebounding, and toughness, we would be able to play with anyone.........if we can keep Bediako. If we can't keep him, we will run into trouble because of lack of inside depth against the bigger teams who are tough inside.

The next five games are manageable. We've got to take care of business. If we do, we would be 11-4 in the conference with three games to go and might have a say in who wins the thing. Florida definitely looks like the best team, but with that momentum who knows what could happen!
