And yet all those Euro pros remain.

This story isn’t over, methinks.

The only thing this case resolved is that Alabama cannot recruit and sign pro players going forward (likely not even international players)...

Not Auburn, not UF, not UK, not Louisville, not Purdue, not Illinois, not UConn, not Arizona, not Baylor, not Gonzaga, not Texas, not Tennessee. They are free to continue to do as they please...

TROs offer very little in precendential value to other parties but they are binding on the litigants.

The judge said Europros were apples and oranges.

Ok

HS to college - ok
HS to G League to College - ok
HS to NBA to College - ok
Europros to G League to College - ok
Europros to College - ok
HS to College to G League BACK to college - not ok

Does that about sum it up?

The judge said Europros were apples and oranges.
And why? I have not got to read his opinion? So in theory, Alabama could have signed Webenyama if he opted to play college instead of the NBA? He played for years as a highly paid Europro before making himself eligible for the NBA. Yao Ming was the same way back in the day. Under this rationale Otani could play for Alabama Baseball instead of in the MLB.

The NCAA stance is preposterous, imo...

So this ended up with a net zero outcome for college bball? Other than hurting bama. Pro players from elsewhere still play cause the one judge decided not to touch it although now with that said his ruling has made it that they are legally different? So it actually helps euro players?

Meanwhile, in Montana…

I guess eligibility rules only matter when the NZAA wants to enforce them?

These are the things that are maddening and create the environment we are in.

You cant say you have clear rules and then do this crap. Just set the freakin rules that EVERYBODY has to follow with zero exceptions for any reason.
