Link: Former Tide Player Charles Bediako Sues NCAA (Injunction) to Return to Bama

I don't see where anyone is asked, but any chance we have to forfeit the games he's appeared in so far?

Wouldn't make any sense because at the time those games were played that judge had issued his ruling Bediako could play, so Bama was just following that ruling.

But that won't stop all the Bama haters for calling for it.....

Folks far more knowledgeable than me have consistently said “no” throughout the entire time.
If the NCAA wants another lawsuit that they will inevitably lose they can try to make Bama forfeit. The NCAA has made a statement and said that any games he played in will not count when they make considerations for seeding. You can almost guarantee we will get a lower seed than we should and you can almost guarantee that we will have the toughest path to the final four. Petty but it is what it is.

Or that they will use it to keep us out. This will be an albatross on the entire rest of the season.

We are in his current as a 5 seed in Arizona's bracket.
Thanks. I saw this one at lunch today and thought it was current. I see now that it was from the weekend and based on the comments thought it wasn't the first one he'd done that way. Sorry about that.

EDIT: I don't believe that the one I saw on my phone had the big red date on it at the top.

Notice this one has St. John's listed twice.

There is no chance we are left out of the tournament. We were a strong seed before Bediako came back. We went 3-2 with him and did nothing really of note... we beat no ranked teams. In the end, Texas A&M is probably the only tournament team we beat during that stretch. We lost at home to Tenn and got destroyed by Florida. His 5 game stretch did nothing to improve our resume. In the end, the ncaa ignoring that during seeding time might actually benefit us.

You can guarantee they will take into account the losses and ignore the wins. Pettiness at its finest...

the media sucks. They are really trying to push a narrative that Alabama should be punished for playing Bediako. I have seen 3 articles today that are spouting this nonsense.

So is there any chance CB gets a better law team and goes back at the NCAA with a better argument?
Latest I heard is CB might have been fine on his own but that there were failed NBA players ready to go back to college using his "signed an NBA contract" as a fig leaf (esp some dude UCLA is trying to get eligible). Almost everybody decided, including Sankey, that that line can't be crossed. Bottom line: no.

I aplaud Byrne and Oats exposing the hypocrisy of the 130(!) current pro players playing NCAA basketball. Also, trying to help CB and the Alabama team. Let the chips fall.
