Can we talk Bama headgear 2026?

Bama wore white helmets in the 50s, 60s, 70's and early/mid 80s. That's pre-Bryant, the Bryant era, and post-Bryant.

But, the last time we wore them was under Ray Perkins.

I wonder if the "last memory" of white helmets being associated with RP, which is not the best memory for those of us who can remember it, impacts how we feel about them???

Not many folks remember in 1969 Alabama wore these for most of their games-100 sticker celebrating 100 years of college football. Several other teams wore similar decals for the 1969 season.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...bring back the white helmets and put them with the crimson jerseys and keep the crimson helmets with our white jerseys. That would look amazing! It isn't really changing anything with us being traditional and chasing the goofy uniform gimmicks since we've used those helmets in the past.

I would love an all white away game uni once a season. The white helmet with red line and red numbers. White jersey red numbers. White pants with red line and all white cleats with white socks.

This will not be popular I’m sure but I’ve alway been a huge fan of using grey in our uniforms across all sports.

All grey uniform, red numbers on helmet, red pinstripes on helmet and pants.

I also really like the white helmets with the away uniforms, would look purty.

I've never seen a picture of those helmets! So in 2069 when I'm 99 years old, you are saying there's a chance we change our helmets???

While I'm a traditionalist, I think grey would look great. I think we've done that in Basketball, IIRC.

But grey/gray would look GREAT with Crimson!!!

I'm not opposed to wearing white helmets with the white away uniforms. But they need to be the same design as the crimson helmets, the only difference being the colors - white with a crimson stripe and numbers. I don't want to see anything resembling highly reflective paint, houndstooth pattern, or anything else.

I am strongly opposed to wearing different uniforms than the traditional crimson or white jerseys over white pants. Gray or black jerseys, or crimson pants, or anything else is just not Alabama Football.

But that's just me. Now...get off my lawn!

If we went to all white unis with white lettering, we wouldn't have to worry about having two players with the same number on the field at the same time...
