I know you are very busy but if you get a few minutes, maybe you could share some experiences of last night. Getting tickets and getting into the coliseum, how was the crowd, the Hog fans, how are the facilities, refreshments, what you enjoyed the most other than the win, and what you didn't like?

I only took one other picture of the front of Coleman. I should have taken more. I got caught up in the game.

Had to park at the soccer stadium and take the shuttle. Traffic was bad. Lots of people headed toward the arena. People were very nice. Very cordial. I sat to a guy who knew ball. Which was nice. And directly in front of the President of the “Send Noah Back to Bucknell Fan Club”.

The game goes by faster in person.

The only other Bama basketball games I attended live was in Baton Rouge. That crowd last night was loud. Into it.

I liked the arena. Mostly because I dig the nostalgia. Grant Nelson and Alex Reese were there. That was cool.

People on the shuttle were very nice. Ate at Taco Mama’s, and had a great time.

It all boils down to a few factors:
defensive philosophy
needing a new defensive coach
we play defense with our hands and not our feet
we do not have a rim protector, Sherrill gets worn out physically and cannot be expected to play the full 40 minutes. Williamson is a major disappointment.

Our tempo will prevent what most Football Only folks want. I’ll take 117-114 all day and twice on Sunday over 52-50.

The back and forth reminded me of the Bama/Kentucky SEC tournament game decades ago that Kentucky won 101-100. Reggie King and Kyle Macy both unstoppable.

They want defense. It’s in Football Only Folks DNA. Football Only Folks are those that pay attention to college basketball only between the last College Football game right up until the first day of Spring Training.

If you know you know. If you don’t it doesn’t matter.

It would seem they’re “lesser” Bama basketball fans in the opinion of some. I suspect what they’d like is to be able to post an opinion without being belittled by “dedicated Bama basketball fans” here. You know… similar to how folks on the football board treat those diehard basketball fans that occasionally post over there in the basketball offseason.
