I hope someone can reach him and educate him on what happened the last time we were instrumental in installing a government. It is the best way to make sure the Iranian people would never accept it...Amen. His ego knows no limit...He has done some good things -- but his egocentric personality spoils every thing.
sadly, this is probably going to get a whole lot worseI hope someone can reach him and educate him on what happened the last time we were instrumental in installing a government. It is the best way to make sure the Iranian people would never accept it...
He is, after all, a second-string Fox newsreader. What kind of intelligence and judgment would you expect him to have? Like his boss, he presents you with a whole different head of hair with each appearance. Think a bit about what type of individual does that and what's important to him...![]()

“I am hard pressed to think of any other nation throughout history that would do something so cowardly and despicable."
Baaahahahahahaha
This guy must be a history buff...
My hesitation here is that we have not declared war on Iran and this vessel was nowhere near the action.India can complain. But it was an Iranian Warship . In international waters. It was fair game.

I think India is protesting to much. Maybe because of oil? I really find it hard to believe a warship is completely disarmed. Maybe offloaded offensive weapons, but not defensive systems . If the USNavy participated in the celebration, I’m willing to stake everything the warship would not be helpless.well our drunken secdef has said we are not going to be bound by stupid rules of engagement in carrying out the lord's will, so i guess everything will be fair game
seems like this is what set them off.
i would imagine getting troops in and supporting them would be a good bit tougher tooThere are a couple of ambiguous concepts being thrown around.
One is "nuclear weapons program." If by that, we mean a self-sustaining program with the ability to refine weapons grade uranium" then I think that was achieved in the summer. If we mean "the ability to conventionally detonate an amount of refined uranium sufficient to make an real mess," then that is another matter. That is a lot easier. All it takes is a big bomb and a certain amount of uranium (not necessarily refined to weapons grade). If Witkoff is to be believed, the Iranians said they had enough for eleven atomic bombs (the IAEA head quoted a similar amount), If I was the Iranian leader, I would not have stored my accumulated uranium at the same place it was purified, so last summer might not have gotten existing stockpiles. Hopefully, the Mossad handed us the lat/longs of the storage facility.
Next is "regime change." If we mean, "installing a Jeffersonian democracy," then that ain't happening, as long as Iranians live in Iran. If we mean, "Iran gets a new chief cleric and the people have a chance to erect some Iranian semblance of democracy, should they take advantage of the opportunity," then we are about as close as we ever will be.
I really hope nobody is fool enough to plan deploying tens of thousands of US soldiers to Iran to impose a government. It did not work in Iraq and Iran is a lot bigger.

no clue what their motivations are. the folks in the stuff i put up seemed not to be the folks in charge, so they may just be making noise. i don't have any clue about the relationship/interaction of india and iranI think India is protesting to much. yes, while true, Iran has declared war on the U.S., and has attacked 8 U.S. friendly/frenemy countries . Given their indiscriminate missile launches, and their declaration , it was an appropriate action. My hesitation here is that we have not declared war on Iran and this vessel was nowhere near the action.
Just like Korea, Vietnam and Iraq, who we weren't in a war with.good think we're not in a war

U.S. is ‘not at war,' House Speaker Mike Johnson says
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., told reporters today that the U.S. is “not at war” and has “no intention of being at war” after the House rejected a war powers resolution, essentially green-lighting the Trump administration’s Iran operations.www.nbcnewyork.com
whiskey pete’s callous and smug indifference is disgustingUnfortunately, I am No expert, but looking at the satellite photos, it is pretty certain the US or Israel killed those little girls at the school. The 4 IRGC buildings in the compound were struck in similar fashion. It would have been a remarkable , precision air strike if it were not so heartbreaking. I’m sure an aircrew somewhere are horrified at what they have done. If only Hegseth would come out and admit it, and offer condolences to the Iranian people.
