Yeah but Holloway was a top 50 recruit coming out of high school. Edmead and Sears were both guys who had to go to smaller mid major schools most likely because of their size. Then both had big freshman years and now might get a look at the power 5 conference teams.

That’s right…. College basketball uses local groups?

Not really. They're all independent contractors. They do join a couple of groups for insurance and training and they are assigned games by conference assignors. Also, the NCAA Hub, which conducts background checks, etc. Some conferences try to exercise some more control by grading performance, etc. A few years ago, our "director" (?) of basketball officials was asked why one particular ref wasn't blacklisted. He replied that if he did that, he might end up with none. I'm not sure of his exact meaning. They generally sort of stick to the area where they have good plane connections, which makes most of them somewhat regional...

I didn't realize Hoftra's first half lead was built on a 18-2 run. Take away that run and this game would have been about as dramatic as Florida's massacre of that 16 seed.

I'll spin this another way than complaining about CNO NOT interrupting long runs with a TO "to tell them to play better."

CNO is a Master Play Caller out of a timeout. If he draws up a play, we usually score!

So why not look at it that way, Coach? Stop a run by drawing up a play for a score!

Win and move on. Hope Wrightsell pulls out of his funk and Allen and we’ll Mallette lol Bowen is going to have to rebound better but showing signs of life and helped get offense going a little this game.
