Alabama Basketball Roster Tracker 2026-2027

There is also talk that Donnie Freeman from Syracuse is visiting this weekend.

If there is one thing CNO seems to be shifting on is he is going to be less guard-centric in our offense! Guards will alway be vital, but we are really recruiting bigger swing, shooting type forwards!

It reminds me of some of the rosters that have given us fits the last several years in March.

12 million that we have doesn’t go as far as it used to. And by that I mean last year. The reports are Flory Bidunga got around 5 million to transfer to Louisville, Aiden Sherrill is getting 3.5-4 million to play for Indiana. John Blackwell and Juke Harris looking for 3+ million. For context the 14th pick last years pay scale was just under 5 million. The 18th pick is 4 million and the 25th pick is $3 million. So if your not going to be a top 20 pick or so and can get a good chunk in college it probably better to stay. The only difference is the first round NBA contract is 2 years guaranteed then 2 option years.
You shouldn't go by what coaches say .. they have more money than it was published to spend. Like I keep telling folks .. stop worrying about the money.

The roster is coming along nice. We should get one or two more commitments in coming days.

I like your thinking on this. I want to say we're gonna be more versatile in offense ... Ability to go back and forth throughout the season and how we run offense. I think Michigan offense had Oats eye and so I think he'll adjust a little.

Hahahahahahaha

They gonna be really disappointed in that ROI!!!

The kid we just picked up from Miss. St. actually knows how to dunk a ball around the rim!!!

OTOH, Sherrell likes to shoot 3s and tries to see how creative he can be with finger roll layups at the rim.

Am I being petty cause he left for Indiana??? NO! I've been saying it all season long. I've never seen a guy almost 7 feet tall that was that soft around the rim! NEVER!
I did... ;)

I wanted this guy bad out of HS, he can SHOOT if I remember correctly. We recruited him pretty hard and got outbid I’m sure.

Really good eval on Cloer. Sounds perfect for CNO's system.

"Cloer is a big-time shooter of the basketball who also possesses good wing size and bounce at the rim. He has a high and compact release, gets beautiful loft and rotation on his ball, and is a threat to make all different types of shots. He can make threes on the move or off the dribble, knocked down 43% of his open spot-up threes in EYBL play, and also has a complimenting pull-up game with his ability to score overtop of most opposing wings. Most of all, he has that outward confidence and swagger that almost all great shot-makers share."

I bet Freeman will not be cheap, but I hope we can get him. I also love the way CNO is constructing this team.

We should be able to defend and rebound with all this length and muscle he’s signing.

Also wondering if he may take the most TP players of his career this offseason? Seems like a lot coming in.

I'll take Freeman or Wilkins, but I think if I had to pick, I'd prefer Wilkins, simply because he seems to have the higher upside. Doubt we can get both, but that would be preferred.

Freeman was the 6th ranked prospect coming out of high school. Behind only Flagg, Harper, Edgcombe, Bailey, and Johnson. Who are all very good NBA players this season. Freeman has much more upside than Wilkins who wasn’t even a top 200 prospect. I will take Freeman all day over the two. This biggest issue will be cost for Freeman especially with Kentucky going hard after him.

They're both good players, but give me the younger guy all day long. Wilkins seems to me to be a budding superstar. Ja Morant wasnt a top 200 prospect either, and we saw how he turned out. Freeman is good, but realistically, how much is he actually going to improve? I think Wilkins was just a late bloomer.
