I hear you. But think, we had Miller one year. We had Clowney one year. Sexton for one. Kira for 2. Primo, Youngblood, Houston, etc for one.

Ironically, although they are very different in their body and playing styles, he needs to do one of the things Philon was told: shoot the 3 better!
If he improves his 3 point shot, his dribble drive game to the hoop will be so much more deadly!
It bothers everyone. Even those who aren't 24/7 fans like most of us!
But, I've decided that the current system "is what it is" and I might as well enjoy it because the alternative of not being a fan is not an option (at least for me)!!!
I think some grown-ups will listen to folks like CNS and they'll eventually step in and offer change because it is not sustainable, but until they do, it is what it is!
It'll eventually come down to Congress passing some new laws, so I don't have a ton of optimism for anything to happen fast. But it's hard to imagine this NOT being a bipartisan move because NOBODY likes it!
Good news! This takes care of our inside game. We just need to pick up one really good combo guard in my opinion to hedge our bets with Allen and Holloway's situations and we'll be set.
We have good depth at both forwards and center now which is good but almost nothing at guard. They must really expect Holloway back but that still feels up in the air. The only other true guard on the roster is Preston Murphy but I don’t see him as a legit rotation type guy at the major conference level. I was really hoping for the freshman guards from Forman who killed UConn or the freshman guard from Hofstra who killed us and played lot like Sears in the game against us.(he went to Nc State).

Agree. Getting Fielder took this portal class from a C to a B but I do think we need a proven guard/ball handler type. If Allen comes back that helps but doesn’t solve the issue. I can’t count Holloway who if comes back hopefully is super cheap so we have money that can go to one more guy. Just don’t want to be freshman dependent
We will have Allen and I expect us to pick up one more guard. It'll round out to 4 guards on team with someone big carrying the ball once in a while.
I think we need another guard as well, but it may be that CNO really believes the 3 true freshmen we signed will be impact players!

That's probably not a bad thing because CNO is a guard whisperer.
I suspect he'll find a workable solution. I suppose the PG situation might be a step down from last year, but as a whole, the guard/perimeter play will hopefully be improved, especially if Allen returns...for sure if both Allen and Holloway are back!
He was sure right about Allen in this last recruiting cycle, it's a shame that he was never given a 5th star on his HS rankings. He deserved every bit.
