Players You Can't Wait to See in Crimson this Fall???

I can't wait for one of our running backs to be compared to John musso or mark Ingram and I hope it happens sooner rather than later ,that means others are doing their jobs and thats a win win,

Nice thread Moon!

Russell is the one I am waiting to see mature. Just think our fortunes this season hinge directly on QB play and healthiness at that position.

my only concern thus far is his injury prone history. one bad hit last year took him out the season and then this year in A Day game with a shoulder injury. but I agree his upside is huge!!
I didn't hear about the shoulder injury, but that hit he took early last year was one of the worst and most dangerous hits I've seen to the head/neck area in a long time. I was seriously worried for his life when I first saw it!

Absolutely brutal hit. And the Mizzou guy seemed to think it was nice and clean.

The usual suspects have already been mentioned, so I'll go a different route: Steve Mboumoua. That kid is gonna be a monster, and he really seems to be coming along nicely, based on what I've heard.

Here's some I'm curious about or want to see how they do.

DL - Devan Thompkins
Edge - Justin Hill
Edge - Desmond Umeozulu
RB - Trae'Shawn Brown
RB - EJ Crowell
WR - Cederian Morgan
WR - Derek Meadows
TE - Josh Ford
TE - Kaleb Edwards
LB - Luke Metz
LB - Caleb Woodson
LB - Xavier Griffin
DB - Jireh Edwards
Both Mack and Russell in the first 2 games.
The entire offensive line.

We ought to have a good rotation in the interior... Thompkins, Simmons, Beaman, Mbourmoua, Hill, and Fagia all available. Maybe others too.

I know what you mean, but almost every year we have the kind of success we expect that's true.

Until Ty got hurt and the OL degraded more and more, we were looking good even last year with our QB play and then as Ty went down so did our success as a team.

I suspect that'll be true to a similar level this year with another year of a new starter under center.

And if you think about it, it's been several years (all the way back to BY) that we've had a solid, known commodity returning at QB. I know JM started CKD's first year as a returning starter, but I don't really count that as it was all up in the air about who would start, for reasons we've discussed ad nauseam. There's a reason he's the only one of our last 5 QBs that weren't a 1st round draft choice.

A lot of our backs ran like musso… but like he’d do today at 76 !! So ya I agree.
