Which non-Crimson Tide college football player did you respect the most? Collegiate days only.

Hunter Renfrow. Guy was a walk on, won the Burlsworth Trophy, and unfortunately for us he was outstanding in the big games.

As an Alabama opponent, Josh Reed LSU WR. If you don't remember him, go look up the game stats for the Alabama/LSU game in 2001. In fact, just put Rohan Davey, the LSU QB that day, in the most respected category as well.

Just in general, Tim Tebow. Also Tommy Frazier, Danny Wuerffel, David Pollack, Charlie Ward. I could go on and on.

I agree on the play and think it was a clean hit. But with the way the Michigan RB's helmet went flying, there's no way that wouldn't be targeting today.

Wuerffel for sure for me too.

It’s mildly shocking that his career comp% was only about 60% because it felt like he almost never threw an incompletion.

My main answer to the thread question though is Bo Jackson.

I don’t have vivid memories of him at AU but more his pro career with KC and the Raiders.

He was this almost massive mythical figure for most kids in the 80’s-early 90’s on par with Michael Jordan at the time.

Jackson is still so popular that even though his career was cut short in both MLB and the NFL that his Baseball and Football cards from then still are highly collectible and worth more than many HOF players.

He’s got to be one of the most athletically gifted humans that’s ever walked the earth to be on the cusp of All-Pro/All-Star level play in two major sports simultaneously.

I have to go with Bo Jackson like @tusks_n_raider. I was in elementary school and McAdory was coming to play our school and we kept hearing about a player named Vincent Jackson. This was well before social media. He lived up to all the hype. He was must watch tv when he was playing baseball and football. Then when the tornado ripped through Tuscaloosa, he did the “Bo Bikes Bama” to help with disaster relief.

I was at that game. Everybody in the stadium knew LSU was going to throw to Reed and there wasn't a blessed thing we could do to stop it.

I'm not sure what he is up to these days. He was probably headed for a successful NFL career but seems like injuries cut it short.
