Sounds like Degrom blocked a trade to the Braves.Braves have officially inquired about DeGrom.

Brent Suter from the Angels. 36 years old and ERA over 4, yep sounds like AA.
We already had non-dependable pitchers on staff. What's the point of bringing in more?
I guess AA still has time to surprise us, but does anyone really think that will happen?
Well Clay Holmes of the Mets in the picture now? With less than two hours to the deadline I guess the Tigers want to see how desperately Atlanta (or others) want to deal for Mize?
Yep. I think the Tigers said “we got to get rid of Skubal”, asked for ridiculous packages then gave the Dodgers a bargain basement deal. You would have expected the Tigers to get at least one current player from the Dodgers’ roster. Now with Mize it is if we can’t get a king’s ransom, we’ll just keep him.Well the Tigers asked such insulting prices with Skubal that they chased off everyone and the Dodgers offer them the biggest one sided deal ever so i guess they know they will have to get something for Mize.
This is stupid. Every team even remotely in the running for the playoffs is attempting to “cement” their chances at the deadline.
Meanwhile AA and the Braves are saying “maybe we can hold things together with coat hangers, bubble gum and zip ties”.
Now that is funny!!!!!I think we just sent Joey Bart to the Whitesox for a Comiskey Dog with the works.
It’s laughable. We need a #2-#3 rotation guy and we whiff.Padres get Mize.
Yep. Cubs got Holmes and Taylor for Jefferson Rojas. A really good but not untouchable prospect. Cubs have another Jefferson Rojas coming in Fernando Cruz. So between Cruz's development and the emergence of Pedro Ramirez, I am totally fine with this trade.Clay Holmes off the board. Heading to the Cubs.
