For my association, the newcomers started this past Tuesday, back page guys (that includes me) start next Tuesday, the rest of the guys start the week after. I am so ready for football. I have been calling baseball since Feb. Still in the thick of it. Anyone else starting meetings soon?

To add to this, the reasoning for this is because the kick or punt had not ended. It doesn't end until possession has been gained.

I am sure that they will find a way to still blame it on the officiating. Saying something like, "If the officials had called (incert penalty), we would have been able to get back into the game."

I was just on the Rivals Ole Miss board and they are already crying about the officials. That is truly sad. They are getting the "official" excuse ready for when they lose. :PDT_ma:

Just because the whistle hadn't been blown does not mean that the play is not over. There are a few things that can make the play dead, not just the whistle. Too many to name, but, so you know, just because a whistle may not have been blown, doesn't mean that the play is not over.

Dead ball personal foul. Ball goes to White, half the distance to the goal. White gets ball on the ten. I may be wrong about where the ball is placed, BUT, White gets the ball.

I officiated the Spain Park vs Pratville JV game Monday night. The future is looking bright for both squads. Both have speed out the wazu and have some hard hitters. The association that I officiate in has a contract with Mountain Brook. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opprotunity to have any of their games to see him play. Hopefully one day I will before he leaves. Thank for the info everyone.

It is like some of the baseball rules that I have to inforce. It is very rare that you have to call them, but when you do, get ready to eject someone. :eek2:
